The President’s Message
On behalf of the Essex County Civic Club (ECCC), a chapter of the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs (NACWC), I extend a warm welcome to you. Since our founding in 1910, the ECCC has been committed to uplifting our communities through service and empowerment. Our dedicated and visionary members work tirelessly to fulfill our mission.
As President of the ECCC, it is my privilege to highlight our ongoing initiatives. Aligned with the NACWC's Four Point Program, we focus on Education, Legislation, Economic Empowerment and Health & Welfare. Our work includes providing food and clothing to those in need, supporting scholarships, promoting voter registration, and collaborating with local schools and community organizations to improve the lives of residents in Essex County and beyond.
The ECCC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a long history of providing assistance and support through impactful community programs, both locally and internationally. We are a vibrant sisterhood, primarily comprised of Black, talented women and we are proud to be part of a nationwide network of clubs across all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and other countries. If you are a member of the NACWC seeking a local chapter, we invite you to consider joining our active and welcoming club. We are confident you will find our organization to be a rewarding and impactful experience.
Thank you for your interest. We encourage you to explore our website further, follow us on social media, and check back regularly for updates on upcoming events and programs. Your support is invaluable to our continued efforts in serving our community.
Sincerely,
Jeri Harmon
Essex County Civic Club President
